I mean srsly.

No Comprendo !!

I have to write a persuasive essay for U.S. History, and I'm supposed to provide at least 3 reasons why the Mexican-American war was wrong and unjustified. Please & Thank you!

OK, when my mom and dad were dating, he played her a song because he's a Mexican and my mom's white and he thought it would be funny. And she's been trying to figure out what song it was for years. All she can remember is that it goes something like this:

"hey all you gringas we got what you're
looking for. come and get your Mexican pingas" (haha!)

so, any ideas as to what song this is? Thanks in advance! =)

I've always thought that Italian was more on the Mexican side because their language is similar but when i was at home and my brothers uncle was there he said that Italian people were like white people so now im confused. Is there anyone who can tell me which one its closer to?

No comprendo !!!

I am Chicana, both my parents were born in Mexico and I was born in the United States. Do I mark "some other race" and write Mexican?
Do I just mark white?

I need to learn a mexican/spanish/hispanic instrumental song I can play on my acoustic guitar for this spanish project at school. It doesn't have to be too easy but not too interquite. If anyone does know, instrumental means no vocals/singing.

I look white, my last name is Garcia, I still have brown hair and eyes, but I can't speak any Spanish. I never or ever talk to my father only my american white mother . Am I still part of the minority even if I don't know my roots?
I'm going to college for Spanish, so, I can find out the hard way of familiarizing myself with the education!

Of course I use the term "authentic" cautiously here. I'm speaking of the Mexican restaurants in America (you know, the ones that are always "El Something"), which I'm hopelessly addicted to.

What's the secret to their cooking? When I make burritos at home they don't even come close. By comparison everything I make is very... Dry? For lack of a better term. The ground beef is in large chunks and not as moist, there are no good sauces integrated into the dish, the tortilla is dry. Pretty much everything I cook ends up tasting like a taco kit without the taco kit.

I would love to be able to cook Mexican food as you get it in the restaurants. Moist meat, lots of sauce, lots of intermingling of the ingredients and flavors. How do you do it? Do I need to boil the meat? Drench everything in special sauces? I'm all ears here.

I work as a receptionist at a hospital, im half Filipino half Mexican.. I don't know a lick of spanish besides "hola" "si" or "no". It seems like every time a Hispanic who does not speak english comes in, they always assume that I speak spanish and when I tell them that I dont speak spanish, they look at me in a rude way like saying "b***s**t you speak spanish". Once again im not racist!! But im really getting tired of people asking me this question every single day!! I feel harassed by this! Are there others out there who go through this same situation?

im not sure how to spell these, i know i cant look helado up or heldaldo because that will get me to ice cream, and im not sure what else, and two others are, veracruz and guirreo, i think thats how you spell them. I have to do exactly what my question is asking, but i dont want my teacher to not understand what i am talking about, when i write heldado on my test. do you know how to spell it? i dont.
thank you..i have a test tomorrow, although spelling doesn't count, i wanted to know them.

I am preparing to write a letter to the editor of both Minneapolis area newspapers on the subject of Felipe Calderon's recent speech and appearance at the White House, I want to have facts to back up my statements.

More than 300 illegal immigrants are being deported every month from Irving because of the city’s increased scrutiny of the immigration status of people arrested, according to the city’s mayor.

The Mexican consul general has expressed concern after members of his staff found that half of all the Mexicans they interviewed in an immigration jail last Saturday were arrested in Irving. He said he suspects racial profiling.

But Irving officials said that last Saturday’s arrests were part of an effort to target apartment complexes with high crime rates, not illegal immigrants. The deportations came from the jail staff’s efforts to identify people who should be referred to federal immigration officials.

Dispute over arrests

Residents at the Willows Apartments, where arrests have been made, said people were grilling food, sitting outside and talking in the apartments’ common area when police approached from different directions about 8 p.m. A few residents were drinking alcohol, they said.

Jose, 31, from Mexico, said he dashed across the street. Jose Carlos, 26, from El Salvador, said he ran into his apartment and slammed the door shut, like many other people did, and refused to open it despite banging by police.

“If we opened the door, they would have taken us away,” he said.

Patricia, 39, of Mexico said police asked for immigration papers. She said they arrested enough people to fill two police vans.

The residents asked that their last names not be used because they are in the United States illegally. Mayor Herbert Gears disputed some of the residents’ comments.

“If somebody’s arrested, it is because they have committed an arrestable offense,” Gears said. “Our police officers do not check for papers or documentation of citizenship.”

He said jail officials, not police officers on the streets, inquire about arrested people’s immigration status. They then notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement about people suspected of being in the U.S. illegally.

ICE spokesman Carl Rusnok said Irving has been particularly diligent.

“They do have a very cooperative, working relationship with ICE,” Rusnok said. “Irving is especially proactive in that regard.”

Profiling concerns

Mexican Consul General Enrique Hubbard Urrea said he wants to talk with Irving officials to find out what happened. Gears said he would meet if asked.

Consulates have the right to meet with their citizens if they are detained. The Mexican Consulate sometimes uses the meetings to identify increased arrests from a particular area and raise concerns about racial profiling.

“They were looking for places where the Hispanics live, so this is a form of racial profiling from our point of view, and we are really worried about it,” Hubbard said. “What we are questioning is the police spending all this time, all this effort and all this money prosecuting people who are not criminals.”

Police spokesman David Tull said people can avoid scrutiny about their immigration status by staying out of trouble.

“It just upsets me that people say we’re out there targeting a particular race,” Tull said. “We’re out there targeting the disorder.”

spanish?

also if a white person is born and raised in africa is he caucasian or an african american? and what is correct for a white person? american? but all white ppl are not american........

Thanks for your answers. Peace.

A Mexican-American colleague claimed that Mexicans are offended when non-Hispanic Americans speak Spanish. However, I was under the impression that Americans were criticized by the rest of the world for speaking only English.

I took 4 years of Spanish in High School.........question?

Will my future children have to learn spanish/mexican before english in public schools? This is what Obama is saying, VERDAD?
Bert: I did, along with my two brothers................one is lost. STFU you fukin coward liberal..............I met minimal of your kind in Kuiwat.
Hey, Mexican language is much different than Spanish. It's like a person going down south from new york. The english language is much different.

pronunciation of those words because thats how iranians and iraqis pronounce them, why dont we give the same courtesy to mexicans and asians? do u think the japanese pronounce japan like we do? do u think mexicans pronounce mexico like we do?
why be so passionate and politically correct about the pronunciation of a couple countries if u arent gonna give the same courtesy to people of other countries?
hahahaha nuts, you really are nuts..your wishful insult made absolutely no sense...I see why you have a 3% best answer rate..at level 6...and no Qs...lots and lots of senseless answers..but never any curiousity...YOU are the idiot, darling

It doesn't matter where they are from, they (not including hispanic americans) always ask them if they are mexican or what part of Mexico they're from. Now, if they tell them first " I'm from-------" some of them will actually say: So, what part of Mexico is that at? Or Do you speak puerto rican, mexican, etc.?
Now remember, this also includes Americans stationed or living abroad in Europe. Some visit Spain are kinda shocked that spanish is spoken their. And still they ask hispanics there if they are Mexican.

It seems that whenever I talk about the drug cartels invading America and killing American citizens, I get a couple of thumbs down for it. Why is this? I seriously have no clue why some people would have any objection with me pointing out the fact that lawless groups with military weapons (some tracked back to the Mexican government) are operating within America, and innocent Americans are paying the price for it. Can someone enlighten me as to why this is?

Bonus Question: Would you buy an autobiography about an average Joe?

I need some websites or how can I do? please help me...

funny, isn't it?? Mexicans never had their own language, they speak Spanish, but sometimes my friends see some Latinos talking to each other in Spanish and then they whisper "listen, isn't it Mexican? It sounds like they speak Mexican. They look like they are Mexican." And I was like "Is Mexican a language???"

my other question is why do some people think all Spaniards speak Spanish?
I have no idea. Once me and a friend were talking with a tourist and at the end we asked him "were are you from?" he said he was from Spain, and my friend automatically said "oh, we study Spanish at school" yes we do but not all Spaniards speak Spanish,...my friend tried to say some words but the man didn't understand anyways because he speaks Gallego "I speak Gallego, not Spanish".

Hahah it was funny because my friend didn't understand a f***

in Spain people speak Castilian (what we call Spanish), or Catalan, Gallego, Euskera, etc.

I can't stand going to a grocery store or a department store and the mexicans speak spanish! I live in texas and they always talk about people in front of their face in spanish. You ask them a question and they don't speak english. You go to McDonalds and they always mess up the order because they dont speak english.
Learn english or get out of the USA!

I'm writing a thesis paper on this year's outbreak, and I need to know when the Mexican government began closing schools and public functions, and passing out masks. Much appreciated, thanks.
An exact date would be best.

Im doing a book report packet and it ask for authors style or voice. could it be like the type of language he uses. like shakespearean flare or a mexican flare or does it have to be something about how he forms sentences. before i've put the use of imagery or specific vocabulary. could those also qualify as authors style or voice?

Can someone please translate these for me? thank you so much
