Legal Mexican-Americans have a higher criminal rate, are disproportionally on welfare, are bankrupting hospitals are destroying what used to be nice, safe, neighborhoods.
People should be allowed to react if immigrants from another country have made this country worse. It is possible, you know.

I don’t hear much about legal immigrants from Mexico, but I support all legal immigration – it is good for this country. I do not support illegal immigration from any country, nor do I support those who are here legally that lobby for special rights for Mexicans who are here illegally. The illegals need to be sent back to their country of origin with no hope of ever being allowed back. They broke the law and must be punished.

I’ve not heard anything bad about LEGAL Mexicans. I guess some of the skinheads, punks and teens might be bad mouthing but that is just because they feel a need to blame anyone for their life except themselves.
I live in a border state and most people appreciate the sacrifices and efforts made by the legals to be legal. We resent the hell out of the illegals. Especially those that feel we owe them a livelihood and full services of our institutions.

in my old school, most of the mexican people were like all punks that pick on you and stuff. i hated them, and they gave me a bad impression. but now, i made a lot of mexican friends, and i think to myself, and realize that they arent all bad.

There is always going to be dumb people out there that are mis informed. When I was younger the media made me think that sterotypes where true. Blacks commet crimes, mexicians are slow, all white people are corny, asians are smart.

My feelins are that Big business wants to have Illegals here so the can pay them very little. But this is where you have the problem the illegals end up living in poor conditions and then turn to crime more often as a form of survival. This keeps the mexican american population down.

The only things that may be considered negative that are heard here from non mexicans about legal mexicans are:
(1) They need to start learning English if they want to live here.
(2) They breed like rabbits.
I agree with the first statement.
The second statement…seems to be more true for Mexican Americans than any other race here. That is not to say that there aren’t plenty of non mexicans who don’t breed like rabbits. Neither is it to say that there aren’t Mexican American couples who never have children.
I hear these things said in my city about Mexican Americans, but not too terribly much. And I used to drive taxi, so I heard many people of all colors babbling about everything under the sun all day, every day.
I don’t hear too much of what you call bad talk, and some of it is warranted. So my answer is NO.

I do not agree that people are being mean to legal mexican-americans. They have every right an american does because they became a part of our country. No one should say them nasty things to them they have a right to be here. The ones getting nasty remarks to are the ones who are not legal they are immigrants trespassing on our territory. Yes, I am sick of it. Much of the propaganda out there that purports to be against illegal immigration is actually anti-Mexican and casts aspersions on Mexicans in general. I mean, really: casting Mexicans as a stupid, smelly bunch of tequila-swigging morons who reproduce like rabbits has NOTHING to do with their immigration status; it’s racist ideology and it is disgusting.

Pretty much, stereotypes make the solution to the problem more difficult. Media never mentions the other side of the migration story. Lou Dobbs, and Tercedos should be ashamed of them shelves because their ancestors probably didn’t know a word of English, and pro badly were selling moonshine. We need reform of immigration laws???? It takes legally 18 years at times to get permanant residency because goverment loses paperwork, and the system is not str8 forward. We need to know who comes in the country, Yes. Yet, we should be providing legal channels for migrants to get a job if they want one. The numberr of Visa allowed is a joke doesnt match supply and demand. Turning a country into a private country club only been around since the 1920s before 1929 we never guarded the border there was no need because people came and went.

Americans came to this land just like any illegal mexican comes, when the first British people and blacks came where their documents of legality were? Now they talk about breaking laws, what about when they went to steal the Mexican territory, they do not talk about that, the USA people just crossed the Mexican border a took the land, now they are so mad about a Mexican coming to their supposed country, they just want legal inmigrants because they know most of them have money and that is all they care about, they want people with degrees for their convenience and keep those countries without intellectual people, and because they want to control everything, Americans are like Fidel Castro or Chavez, the only difference they are all together in the stolen land named USA.
