Can you recommend some books written in Spanish (preferably the Mexican dialect)for young children, 5-9 years?

They can be long books, short books, fiction or non fiction, children’s books on any subject. They can be elementary school readers, or books for entertainment purposes only.

  1. I taught a 4th grade bilingual (Spanish-English) class in New Mexico and their favorite books were Stella Luna (a story about a baby fruit bat who lost her mother), La Verdadero Historia de los tres cerditos (The Real Story of the Three Little Pigs), El Desierto es Mi Madre (The Desert is My Mother which is a collection poems in Spanish and English) and I believe Three Bad Ants might also be available in Spanish.

    íBuena Suerte!
