...the differences between English and Spanish?

My boyfriend is hispanic and I really want to learn spanish so that he and I can have indepth conversations. While he knows a lot of english sometimes it gets frustrating to try and figure out what he is trying to say. While I have a few books that have helped me with vocabulary I'm still really stumped and want to know if anyone has any suggestions. Maybe new books I could try or some other way I could learn the language quickly?

I was wondering if there are any books that i can get that talk about the history of the mexican league. Such books with stats and the like. OR other books that talk about the league history itself. Even if it talk about the amateur era and on.

I am as happy as can be right now! I had the biggest crush on this guy at my job! It turns out that he likes me too! However, there are two problems! Uno- he speaks spanish and very little English and I speak English and very little spanish! Dos- We work at the same job! I have noticed, at least in the area I live in, that men (white men) seem almost unresponsive to white women now, but they love talking about asian or mexican women they see, I've even seen some interracial couples.

I no longer hear about a hot blonde woman, but rather some asian woman.

What a stupid answer. I'm not asking for a Mexican language. I'm asking for a Mexican language school. Think about it. If there was a language school in France it would be a French language school. I"m referring to the country NOT the actual language. Don't be so sarcastic.

My parents are from Guatemala and people in LA always assume that I am mexican. I'm sure If I moved to Miami I would be considered Cuban, and if I moved to New York I would be considered Puerto Rican.

It is just like calling all Asians Chinese. Every Latin country has a different culture and accent. It is ignorant to say all of us come from Mexico. No excuse!

I'm Mexican and don't really notice, but I've always wondered what gives Mexican foods and drinks its..shall I say edge? Is it the spices and herbs? Fresh products? And I am talking about GENUINE, AUTHENTIC Mexican food, not some crappy Del Taco or Taco Bell.
