I just want to point out to some of the answerers here that Mexico is NOT is South America, but North America. Use the phrase "Latin America", it is more precise. Thanks.
No, they speak Spanish, Catalan, Galician, Basque, and Aranese.
mmmm no…
in Spain we speak Spanish, Spain was the origin of the spanish language that you called "mexican"…
and mexican doen’t exist as a language.. it’s the same than in Spain , Spanish!
all south american countries except brazil speak spanish, and also in most of the caribbean islands and in mexico…
If you are from Mexico, they will understand your spanish in Spain, but they will know right away that you are not from Spain.
I just wanted confirm that first answer is the most precise, Angie is absolutely right, you know too many people can understand Basque, it is Spanish but with some issues, lol = )
No, but they speak Spanish in Mexico.
Mexicans and most of south American countries speak Spanish. However, they have their own accents and expressions…and how about cultures!
No the speak Spanish. There is a difference.
They speak spanish in both, but they have different dialects and culture.
No, no. They speak english. Didn’t you know that english is the official language of Spain ?
No, they don’t speak "Mexican", but they do speak TO MEXICANS easily, because both Spain and Mexico speak the same language: Spanish.
If you mean "Mexican Spanish" that is, Spanish as it is spoken exclusively in Mexico, of course not, Spanish people speak "Castilian Spanish", which is the original and purest form of Spanish there is (using the "vosotros" person and the "ceceo", that is, pronouncing the Cs and Zs as English speakers pronounce the TH in "thing".
In Spain there are several other languages spoken according to the region, like Catalan, Galician and Basque, but the only official language in Spain is Castilian Spanish, as well as it is in Mexico (although, as said above, it is spoken very differently),
Mexican is a not a language mexican is someone who’s origin is from mexico because you see Mexico is a C-O-U-N-T-R-Y not a language Spanish is the correct word that is L-A-T-I-N-O-S speak understand. In Spain they speak Spainsh that is where the word spainsh derive from.
