does it look bad/tacky for a white girl to be with a mexican guy?
i recently started talking to this mexican guy, and all my friends are freaking out because he's mexican.. i know it really doesn't matter what others think, but i don't want people to look at me and think that i'm trashy for it. i personally don't see anything wrong with it, he's just a different race. he is a really sweet guy and cares alot about me. what should i do?

to be honest….don’t date him. if you hang with friends that think that way, and you are easily influenced by them, then you don’t deserve him.
answering the question….it is not tacky for anyone to be dating outside of their nationality….but if you or your friends think that it’s tacky, then you guys are tacky.
I am Mexican and I hope the Mexican guy you are talking about doesn’t end up with you, he deserves someone who will appreciate his cultural and personal attributes.

It doesn’t matter what other people think. Mexicans are not second class citizens. If the guy is sweet and respect full why not to talk to him or go out with him? You should follow your own judgment and don’t let prejudice people make decisions for you and if you friends don’t like then you might need new friends. I’m sure your Mexican friend is not wondering if it looks tacky or bad to be with a white girl.Think about it.
