Bravo for the rednecks. Waving the Mexican flag in the US would be a protected activity under the constitution, but I think it is just a bit unpatriotic. Burning the Mexican flag would also be a protected activity, unless it violated certain local fire ordinances. What these flag wavers are trying to do is to divide the country. I am sure you remember the uproar in the South in recent years of displaying the Confederate flag; in some ways this is no different.
Having said that, I think that people who are demonstrating in support of illegal Mexican immigration are dead wrong. To campaign on the side of lawlessness is despicable. There is no reason why anyone should be in favor of people breaking into our country illegally – no reason at all. And sheer numbers does not make right. If all these people who are sneaking into the country illegally went out and starting robbing banks, would there be justification in marching to make bank robbery legal? I think not.
Personally, I think that the demonstrators should be questioned by police and all who are here illegally should be rounded up and imprisoned. An illegal has no right to campaign for anything in this country, and our representatives should make note of this and ignore crowds of illegals demonstrating for their "rights" Pure rubbish.
I applaud the rednecks. They have just as much right to their opinion as the people waving the flags.

And why do you think it is so great for people to protest our government upholding laws regarding ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, but you have such a problem with CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA protesting within their constitutional rights? MEXICO DOES NOT ALLOW THIS PRACTICE ON ITS SOIL. This ban applies, among other things, to participation in demonstrations and the expression of opinions in public about domestic politics like those much in evidence in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere in recent days.
I don’t agree with their burning the flag…but please remember, that’s A RIGHT in this country. You see the American flag being burned here, and that’s legal as well.
