How can a Mexican join the US army?

Hello. I am a Mexican and I am willing to join the US army but I don’t know how. My parents don’t support my decision so I don’t know how to get more information about this. I can speak fluent English, I studied in private schools but I really want to join the US army. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Are you Mexican America Do you live in the U S of A?
Did you know that Mexican Americans won more medals of honor in WW2 than any other minority A U S general said give me a company of Mexicans and I’ll have this war over in a month they fight with the heart of a lion
If you are not a U S citizen and can join the U S military they well fast track you on to citizenship and should

  2. Are you in the US and have a Green Card? If so, then you may be able to join so long as you meet the standard requirements. Once in, it is possible to get assistance in getting your citizenship (is how my husband, a native of Mexico, got his citizenship). A recruiter will help you out with process of joining. It never hurts to speak with a recruiter.

  3. You don’t have to be a US citizen to join the US army, just a US resident. During the Vietnam war they drafted people with green cards who were then forced to go. Many US citizens went to Canada and joined the Canadian Army during WWI, I don’t know why Mexicans would be different. You would probably have to have a legal alien status to qualify however.

  4. If you live in the US just go talk to a recruiter and he or she can help you out. It shouldn’t be that difficult even if you aren’t a citizen. If you are, it should be just the same as it would be for everyone else.
