   Well, I personally do not believe that race means anything. If you really like this boy just tell him how you feel and if he is a good person it shouldn’t matter how you talk to him… it should matter that you can be yourself around him. As a Boricua, Dominican,and Black female (Nicorican), I find that people appreciate the unique things about me and I never try to change anything about myself to impress people and they eventually respect it. Buena Suerte!! I hope you get your boy!!

   I don’t understand why it’s too hard to speak to a "mexican" boy. Talk to him the same way you talk to other boys. Doesn’t he speak English? And if his ethnicity is such a big deal to you, for example, you feel you’ll have to hide if you date him because of what people might say, leave him alone.
