I’m a black female & the cutest Mexican male ever likes me! What about the language barrier and differences??
I am as happy as can be right now! I had the biggest crush on this guy at my job! It turns out that he likes me too!
However, there are two problems! Uno- he speaks spanish and very little English and I speak English and very little spanish! Dos- We work at the same job! Has anyone out there been in this situation and if so what advice do u have?!

I know what you mean. But this is going to be what you needed to start studying Spanish. And by the way, it’s going to be great for a future relationship with this guy, and for your future plans at work too. Bilingual people make more money than people who only speak one language.
Here you have a few websites which will help you:

Language is no problem, I married a Chinese lady and live in China now, workplace relationship are a bit tricky though. What happens if it doesn’t work out and you still must see each other at work every day?
We are all people just taslkto him as a friend and if it is meantto be you will get closer
Thats awesome I am hispanic and I have a girlfriend who is American but then again I know fluent English just pratice and tell him to practice also on English. You guys could have "private" lessons make it fun. Good Luck
Hi! I’m mexican and some time ago I used to have the language barrier too. I will encorage you to give it a try, and I bet you two will be able to communicate very good soon. By the way, are you interested in language exchange,? We can help each other.
Well now that you know that he likes you as well why don’t you casually mention to him that you are learning Spanish and you would like to know if he can help teach you. Here are some useful phrases you could use:
Estudio español- I’m studying Spanish.
Me gustaría saber si tú me podrías ayudar- I would like to know if you could help me
¿Me puedes enseñar?- Can you teach me?
As far as the work situation, I wouldn’t be overly concerned just yet. It’s not like you guys are official or anything. Just wait and see how things go for the time being and start practicing your Spanish.
Good luck
Don’t let that stop you, go ahead and get to know him better. It may be hard at the beggining, but with time, you’ll fina way to communicate. Plus, you get to learn a new language, and so does he :]
Well, he may speak more English than you realize many Mexicans who are in the process of learning english are often hesitant or nervous when they’re put in a situation where they must communicate in English just as any person would be, but he may actually understand it fairly well. In any event, I’m sure he is studying and would like to become fluent, he just needs practice. So how about helping him feel comfortable interacting with people in English by offering your help. You could both practice learning each other’s language together… as you get to know one another.
