  1. Of course. I think some of the people that speak other languages enjoy Americans making an effort. Too often Americans take the mindset that we are in America so you should speak English when most of the world doesn’t. It is a sign of respect to speak someones native language.

  2. Only if you are a very good speaker.

    It may be looked on as condescending, but if you actually need to get some point across, and you are relatively fluent in Spanish, it’s okay.

    Just to speak Spanish, no. If someone comes by and sees this, they may report it to management, and you could get the worker in trouble.
