need a quick easy way to learn Mexican Spanish?
I work in construction, and sometimes I need to communicate with the roofers, ect. and some of them are Mexican. Not to mention I've ran across this same crew a few times that like to stand around staring at me as I work all the while snickering, and talking about me. It's obvious they are talking about me, since it doesn't bother them to point either. It would be nice if I could understand some of what they are saying, and be able to tell them I don't appreciate it.
Thanks for any help!

Hi there
Sorry I might not be much help, try your local library and see what kind of basic books or what they might be able to help you with. Even search online and see if there are any quick easy ways of learning Spanish.
I took Spanish I and Spanish II in college but that was with a teacher and textbooks.
The bad part about learning spanish and saying it to these boys is that if you are off in your language they could make fun of you for that and we don’t want that…
as hard as it may be you might almost need to just ignore them or pretend they are saying something totally nice and then when their done go to them and say "muchas gracias"…you could catch them in their own steps
Hope I helped, sorry!
1.Watch the news in Spanish. This is a good exercise because you will always have a context. Watch the film as you listen to the story.
2.Watch Spanish-language films. You can read the subtitles and listen at the same time.
3.Eavesdrop. When you hear people speaking in Spanish try to understand what they are saying to each other.
4.Be fearless. When you are in a setting in which you can use your Spanish just do it. Most Spanish-speakers are glad to help and happy you are trying.
5.Look for things written in Spanish in your home (e.g. instructions for appliances) and see how much you understand. This is a good way to learn new vocabulary.
