Whenever I hear that accent (Castillian I think it's called), I can't help but think that the Spanish are fruitbags. They sound queer, don't they? Whereas, Mexican Spanish sounds masculine and it's often evenly paced. Do Mexicans think lowly of the Spanish because of their gay accent? And do you think it's justifiable to say that Spanish no longer belongs to the Spanish if it sounds so corrupt and wacky like how they pronounce it?
in terms of vocabulary and the difference in accent
I'm Mexican and I'm learning Italian. I just wanna know if our accent sounds bad or good when we speak Italian.
Thanks!
So we hear a lot of British accents...but if they were speaking Spanish would Spanish people hear that unique accent? D:
Spanish is Ine Language.
But it sounds different and some gramar change according to the region.
In Argentina people Speak Old fashion Spanish
In Cuba the Influende of African dialects is strog
In Mexico many worsds came from Nahuatl or Arab
In Spain, the accent and some grammar change, as well.
So.... I Think the Best Spanish is in México, Costa Rica, Colombia.
and the Worst Spainsh is in Texas ( Spanglish )
What about English?
See ya
I was watching one in Spanish, and I was really surprised because I could understand it perfectly. Is the accent they used in the Latin American dubs Mexican, Colombian, Venezuelan, just some generic Latin American pronunciation?
i have been very curious about this question for a long time. Some languages(i wont say which) sound pretty ugly but some like russian, french, and italian sound pretty cool. If you don't speak spanish how does the spanish language sound to you? Im Mexican, remember each latin country has a different accent. if you could explain how it sounds maybe wich sound you hear the most or any kind of description. If it souds ugly to you its fine i wont mind i just want opinions.
One would think that central americans don't look drastically different from Mexicans, and speak spanish...only in a different accent which could be faked. But I found out how Mexicans determine probable cause to check immigration status:
They take the person aside, and ask them to sing the Mexican national anthem. If you can't sing it perfectly, they ask for your papers. Should we try the same thing here?
I'm totally white but I can speak spanish better than anyone (except the mexicans) in my high school spanish class, but my teacher teaches mexican spanish, so my accent is horribly mexican sounding (and american too of course). I want to sound like I'm from Spain or Argentina.
Its kinda annoying like when i talk over something (phone, headset, etc) i sound like a Mexican, i mean i don't have an accent in the way i say my words or anything its just the way my voice sounds over a receiver, i didn't care at first but when people here me talk and like if they get mad at me, i get attacked by all these Latino disses.
What can i do about this? Any advice? Thanks.
I am 75% mexican although I consider myself full...My mother is half mexican an half white she does not speak spanish (That's the reason why) My dad's family all speaks spanish (I don't live with him) And my grandma (Mom's side) Speaks spanish...But I have a white accent but I can understand some words..My boyfriend speaks Spanish and so does his family. None of them really speak english good except his brother and sisters and himself. I really wanna learn so I can speak with my other family members and his family...Spanish seems very hard for me I feel stupid when I try to speak it. Please help?? I don't have very much money...so what can help me?

When traveling in Mexico, I smile when I meet a Mexican National with perfect non-accented English. In contrast, I still meet American-born Hispanics with heavy Spanish accents. Someone told me that learning English at an early age (even as a second language) breaks that accent carryover. Is that true?
Hi again; I come with more questions. I am of Chilean, Mexican and Venezuelan heritage so I want to go somewhere where I can pick up the specific accent. I want to know if the accent on Isla Margarita is much different than that of other parts of Venezuela. Also, is it safe for a minor (17) to travel alone there? I heard there isn't much crime. Thanks again!
I'm Hispanic and white so don't think I’m being racist. I just don't get how some Latin American people talk with a heavy accent and they don't even speak Spanish. Is this some kind of trend? I know plenty of people like this. I don't know maybe I don't do this because my dad is not Mexican he is from Guatemala and I guess the way they sound is different i.e. like USA English to United Kingdom English

people speak? Do you notice that the other has a heavy accent?
Let's say that an Mexican is living in Spain with his Spanish wife, or French Canadian is living in France with her French husband, something like that.
How much will the different accent of the minority parent affect the pronunciation of the child?
My parents are from Guatemala and people in LA always assume that I am mexican. I'm sure If I moved to Miami I would be considered Cuban, and if I moved to New York I would be considered Puerto Rican.
It is just like calling all Asians Chinese. Every Latin country has a different culture and accent. It is ignorant to say all of us come from Mexico. No excuse!
