I'm 100% Mexican, but I have lived in the U.S. since I was 9 months old and I've never been to Mexico ever since. My point is I know English (I went to school from kindergarten through 12th grade) AND Spanish (my parents only know Spanish so they taught me Spanish), but I REALLY wanna learn the Japanese language.

My question is, would it be easier to learn Japanese with English explanations (like grammar and such) or with Spanish explanations?

is there a way to do it when you don't live in a native country where english is spoken daily? I am mexican and I live here and everyday we speak spanish and spanish. just few english during my classes of my degree of english teaching as a second language but it's hard because many mexican teachers who speak english have bad pronunciation and my grammar is bad.. even they correct me.. I have my doubts if they are correct or not.. because they confuse me with their rules and etc.. all them teach me rules but they are bored.. I can't find a way to learn grammar without rules or stuff like that if there is a way of learning.. I have read for 4 years in english but nothing people say my grammar is good but here on yahoo people answered with another kind of answers like saying that my grammar is not good until I tell them that I am mexican learning english..

how can I improve my english pronunciation? I am a spanish speaker, I am learning for being an english teacher, I want to avoid to think in spanish, because in my grammar it reflects my grammar, that's bad because I tend to think in spanish and as well I want to pronounce words very well.. because english teachers are mexican, they maybe pronounce words very well but sometimes I think they do wrong, they are focused more in grammar than listening or speaking and pronunciation..

I live in Mexico in a small town in Chiapas where there are not native speakers,, I am studying ESLT English Secong Language Teaching..but I only listen the pronunciation of my mexican teachers.. as well I try to watch tv in english but they speak so fast.. and as well I have many mistakes in grammar for example what is correct to say the house of mary or mary's house? I dont know when to put a S in the sentences.. plz help and as well my pronunciation it's bad.. I hope your answers

I am mexican and I have a serious problem when I speak english when I talk with someone I forget the vocabulary and the grammar, please tell me recommendation to speak more fluent and what kind of method you used for speak more fluent. Thank“s

My wife is Mexican, and has problems writing in English. Which is really strange, because she can read, but when she tries to write she can't visualize the spelling and grammar. What is the best way for an adult to learn? For children I normally recommend reading as much as they can so they get a better idea of what good writing is supposed to look like, but that's not working for her. She can write in Spanish fluently. We're not looking to write a novel yet, just learn enough to pass the immigration test.

I am learning english.. I speak spanish.. I need to learn how to pronounce words very well.. and to improve my grammar.. I am taking english course but it's not enough.. I have a mexican teacher who doesn't have a good pronunciation.. how can I improve my pronunciation in english?

I learned Spanish from my Mexican mother and from my high school. Now that I'm in college, I'm kind of embarrassed that people who aren't Hispanic have a greater mastery of the grammar, vocabulary and the subtle nuances of the language, and although they might not be able to carry on a conversation in Spanish as easily as I can, I often find myself being corrected. I was hoping if anyone new of a free and easy way that I could brush up on my skills. Thanks.
