My character is supposed to be speaking English with a Mexican accent. Can someone please list some of the definitive characteristics of this accent? For example, the way certain vowels are pronounced, etc. I've had a few years of Spanish, but trying to transfer the accent to English is very difficult for me.

So this is random but I'm looking for some kind of movie scene with a gardener with a mexican accent talking about gardening, maybe complaining about it or something. I need the audio for a video I'm making.
Can anybody think of a movie or show where a mexican gardener is talking about his job?
I'm calling my best friend over the telephone tomorrow, and i don't want to sound stupid considering her whole family doesn't understand English. I can speak with a Mexican accent, infact they say i sound hispanic most of the time even thought i'm white and can only understand and barely speak spanish. I need to know the correct wording in Spanish for the phrase " Hello may i speak to..." I'm calling a girl, if that makes the difference in the vocabulary.
Since I am going to be in Portugal for a week with family, we have decided that we will be taking a trip to Madrid for a week or so. I'm American, so when my best friend taught me Spanish back in middle school, she taught me to pronounce things with a Mexican accent. So, I was wondering if in Spain, if they heard that I spoke my Spanish with a Mexican accent, would I be looked down upon or treated differently? Thank you so much, I'm looking forward to my trip! =)
