Why do people say Puerto Ricans speak a "Ghetto Spanish" compared to Mexicans?
I hear people say that Puerto Ricans and many other Island Countries in the Caribbean speak the Spanish language in a "Ghetto" way as opposed to Mexicans who speak Spanish in a Clear and understandable way.
Can someone explain why people say this?

There is a Mexican girl in my class and we got into an argument about variants of the Spanish language. She says that Mexican Spanish isn't Spanish and that if a Mexican goes to Spain that the Spaniard and the Mexican won't understand each other. I understand that pronunciation is a little bit different, and I also know that Mexican Spanish has indigenous pre-Spanish Mexican words added to it, but I know it's not a completely different language.
Spanish Language in the World? you cant really make it out, I would say the best English spoken language is Spoken by Americans, and the best spoken language is Spoken by Mexicans, when I say best I mean it being more understandable and clearer and cleaner.
Answer= Because America is not England. Spanish Language is the second most spoken in America. ( USA ).
I will vote for that candidate who speak better Spanish, for the most fluent Spanish Speaking American Presidential candidate .

I used to live in South Texas, and my favorite radio station was Digital 101.5 FM. It played Mexican and Spanish-language pop music. Now I live in Ohio and would love to listen to something similar while on my computer, but that station doesn't stream over the Internet. Does anyone know of a similar station elsewhere in the country I could listen to? It doesn't have to be a Texas station. Thanks!
I heard that Mexican Spanish is different from the original Spanish Language in Spain. In what way?
i have been very curious about this question for a long time. Some languages(i wont say which) sound pretty ugly but some like russian, french, and italian sound pretty cool. If you don't speak spanish how does the spanish language sound to you? Im Mexican, remember each latin country has a different accent. if you could explain how it sounds maybe wich sound you hear the most or any kind of description. If it souds ugly to you its fine i wont mind i just want opinions.

Latin America, Spain, and Mexico all have different spin offs of the Spanish language correct? So how would you say 'I miss you' in a Mexican dialect? Or is that phrase the same in all areas? If so please still write out the translation. Thanks!
