What is the main difference among Mexican Immigrants in the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona & California

I had noticed Mexicans in Texas are shy to speak Spanish and Mexicans in California are proud to speak Spanish.

I heard schools in Texas forbid students to speak Spanish!
Why!!????

  5. In most Texas schools, the policy is they can speak Spanish if they are trying to help another student. Most teachers don’t even allow that. I sure don’t think they are shy!! Here in Houston, the illegals had a big march demanding their equal rights. Yep… they want their rights! Free medical, free schools, free lunch in those schools, free or reduced rent. Shy…. not in Texas!!! They are making demands !!

  6. I’ve personally never been to Texas. But I was born in California and am living in Arizona right now. I know that in California, the majority of the population is Hispanic, so it’s seems a bit more natural to speak in Spanish. But in Arizona, not so much. That’s what I’ve noticed.

  7. Because they are the original Mexicans that have come here and have become AMERICANS. They are the people that gave Mexicans their GOOD and respectful names. I don’t know what rock this new group of hoodlems crawled out from under. They are a DISGRACE to their people.

  8. You heard wrong. No one in Texas is shy to speak Spanish. There’s alot of "bilingual" people here that don’t know a lick of English. Hmmm……guess they aren’t really "bilingual."

  9. Are you kidding me? I was at Joe’s Crab Shack today and had to conjure up some Spanish to speak to a cleaning lady. Texas is predominately Spanish speaking. English is hardly spoken here anymore, well in Houston I know. Schools in Texas do not forbid kids to speak Spanish. You have to have that language 2-3 years of it to even graduate high school. So whoever has given you this information is sadly mistaken. I wish it were true.
