1. There is not actually a language called Mexican. There are 62 native languages recognized by the Federal government. Most people speak Spanish, but there are some native Mexicans who are not fluent in Spanish as they live in isolated communities and are more accustomed to speaking their native languages.
    If you come to Mexico you will see and hear Spanish everywhere you go. You will also see billboards and hear some TV and radio commercials in English which are directed at a more elite clientele.
    Some people jokingly refer to the version of Spanish spoken here as "Mexican" because we use words and have grammatic quirks that are not used in other Spanish speaking countries. This is like sayiong that native English speakers speak American, Australian or Black Country.
