When are people going to learn not all latinos are mexican?
My parents are from Guatemala and people in LA always assume that I am mexican. I'm sure If I moved to Miami I would be considered Cuban, and if I moved to New York I would be considered Puerto Rican.
It is just like calling all Asians Chinese. Every Latin country has a different culture and accent. It is ignorant to say all of us come from Mexico. No excuse!

Unfortunately, many people do not pay attention in school, or they forget what they learn the day they leave school. It’s just lazy to call all Hispanics Mexican and all Asians Chinese. Lazy people tend to have low IQs.
I know that and I also know that "latino" isn’t a race.
I guess some people only know about Mexicans and they aren’t aware of different Latino ethnicities. Or they just being rude or prejudice.

Yeah i notice that too, whenever people think of hispanics, they think of Mexicans. They act like the only lations here in America are Mexican. My mama is from El Salvador and she hates it when people mistaken her for a Mexican.
some people just need to get educated, and need to learn about all the types of people that are actually up in this country, instead of just cause they see a couple of Mexicans, assume that every other hispanic is a Mexican. So ignorant. I bet it offends Mexicans themselves too.

Well baby, maybe you LOOK Mexican, and that’s probably why you get mistaken for one. Guatemalans are usually just as "brown" (read: indian) as Mexicans.
