Why do Americans speak English if they aren’t in England? A lot of the ancestors were from England and brought the language over with them. Same with Mexico. Technically Mexican is not a race, it is an ethnicity which means Mexicans are a mix of a few different races such as Native American, Spanish, French, etc… There can actually be people living in Mexico who are straight Spanish but still be considered Mexican because they were born there.

Why are USA citizens called Americans? Actually everyone in the American continent is an American. Why not call yourselves North Americans? Actually, Spain’s language is not spanish either. You cannot make that statement until you travel to Spain.
