Why do people ask *do you speak mexican*?
I have heard this question many times and i cant figure out how ignorant do you have to be to ask such a dumb question. Hello Mexican is a race not a language. Or they ask "are you spanish" When in reality their trying to ask if you hispanic. MMM...spanish is a language duh. So anybody care to explain why some people make such a dumb mistake while asking this?

well next time maybe they should SPEAK ENGLISH in an ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY.
It really bothers you that much that people occasionally make grammatical errors or whatever? Get over it people aren’t gonna change.
Because they are dumb as posts.
Because Mexicans speak different spanish than alot of other so called spanish speakers.
Mexican is not a race and neither is Hispanic or Spanish.
Do you speak Canadian? Is Canadian a race? Because Canadians speak English are they "English" or "Anglo-Saxons"? No, No, No, and No.
Ask yourselves these questions whenever questioning someone’s race.
