Is it a race issue? Whenever someone complains about immigrants, they are usually talking about Mexicans. Why? People don't seem to be bothered by Europeans who speak something other then English. Why is it more ok for them to come here?

-Because millions of Illegal Canadian and British immigrants haven’t gone out and ruined it for the rest of them.
-There are no rallies with people carrying British and Canadian flags down the streets demanding their rights as Americans (I know think about that one for a second).
-There are no Canadian or British immigrants going on TV or marching down the street saying "I am illegal, so what? What are you going to do about it?" and then complaining when we do do something about it (Tyson Food plants anyone).
-There are no Canadian or British Immigrants coming on here saying how they are going to take over our country and kick us out.
-There are no Canadian or British Immigrants who pull the race card every time someone says they think people should follow the law.
Do I need to go on?
first, they are complaining about illegal aliens. All illegals. And no, its not a race issue, unless you are a pro or an illegal, then thats their claim.
Because most of them come here legally.
Because they are the current target!
Plain and simple!
Also, only ignorant people confuse illegal immigrants with Mexicans.

We have prejudiced people in the US.
Nothing to do with race… we are taking about illegal immigrants 1) mooching off of our welfare dollars when they don’t even pay taxes, 2) taking jobs that could be going to legal residents, but they accept the lower pay raise, therefore it causes more of an unemployment rate for people that have legal social security numbers and already paying taxes, 3) cause a great majority of hit and run accidents (they are afraid of being deported), leaving the people that get hit having to pay higher insurance rates, 4) they expect us to learn another language to adapt to them when they could adapt to us!!
Canadian and British people speak English and most of the time are willing to put in the effort to come here and live a life LEGALLY! This is what gets on my nerves. People in France would never be expected to learn English if an overwhelming amount of American/British/etc. illegal immigrants started living there…
It is only the fact that 90% of our illegals in America are Mexican. If 90% of our illegals were Polish you would hear a lot more about them, same goes for if they were Chinese, Canadian, Japanese, Indian, Pakistani, Israeli, or African. The majority of the criminals are the ones we talk about the most. Race has nothing to do with it.
Boy you can say that again. The illegal aliens are remarkable in their racism. They started calling anyone who crossed them racist, and that has become their way of achieving their goals from the Git Go. Senator Durbin, (Dem, Ill) started using the ‘hate’ theme against Hispanics as a reason to approve the give-a-way Immigration Bill, and that one spread also. Amazing.
While that was happening, the illegal aliens from Canada and Britain were busy doing their jobs, staying low, and being good citizens while the illegal aliens had a long, long, deep straw in the Social Welfare Program. I don’t think anyone will ever know.. and it is a real good bet our now functional politicians desperately don’t want us to know. If that information ever came out, the political groups now in power would be on planes for VERY obscure destinations.
So while the illegal aliens were hollering ‘racist’ at everything that moved, they were participating in the massive embezzlement of billions from the taxpayers and remarkable, remarkable crime.

then while all of that was happening, the Catholic Church jumps in and tells us that in spite of the fact that they are murdering American Citizens left and right, steal a huge amount of money form the taxpayers, closing schools and hospitals all over the country, that we are gonna love them.

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — California’s Catholic bishops are taking a stand on illegal immigration in hopes of influencing the political debate on one of the hottest issues of the 2008 presidential campaign. The church leaders want to see Congress enact a temporary worker program and help those already here illegally become citizens. "As bishops, we call on Catholics and all people of good will to treat each other with dignity and respect and to work together constructively to ensure a positive outcome to this really challenging problem," said Archbishop George Niederauer, leader of the San Francisco Archdiocese.

You discover the Catholic Church doesn’t talk to the people of this country.. they threaten the political folks with excommunication. Those guys then decide they will do it anyway where the American People cannot see them do it.

It is not a race issue in America anymore than it is a race issue anywhere. When People complain about immigrants they are usually specific but when they complain about illegal aliens they usually mention mexicans because it seems that illegal aliens from mexico have taken it upon themselves to voice the feigned outrage for America to enforce a legitimate law like immigration law.
The Mexicans out number every other group when it comes to illegal immigration. Why is it people don’t understand that when you are part of a group in the millions…..people are going to talk about you?

I agree with you. Or if you "look mexican" they think you cant speak english and are illegal! There is a lot of ignorance in the U.S. Most of the time it is a race issue, I am 100% sure about that.
All I can say before those that can’t stand the "TRUTH" come along and have this message deleted. Many people here are just having things done their way "So They Think" anyway. It seems we asked the question why do others come into this Country like they have Claimed the Mexicans do but they are far too proud to answer these questions. They are the ones whom throw Logs on the Flame and run aways by running jumping into the arms of Yahoo for their Help. If something should be deleted it should be done so by it’s "CONTENT" NOT Ratings. But if I was head of Yahoo I would not allow any Deletes because after all this is what these pages was placed here on this site for in the first place. We will grow old here if this is allowed. If people can’t speak the truth even if it hurt others then Thou shall not be able to speak at all. People need answers to all these questions that is not being answered because of those whom build their little camp fires then go and dail 911 in tems of Yahoo.
