Why does the public radio station in Albuqerque, NM play a lot of mexican music?
I like to listen to the npr programs but the npr station here in Albuquerque does not have too many and the ones they do have are not really the ones I would like to hear. They have programs like prairie home campanion and car talk. The rest of the program is mexican music.

Your kidding right?
Considering the overwhelmingly Hispanic population of Abq., why do you wonder that they play a lot of Mexican music?
New Mexico is mostly Mexican.
your in NEW MEXICO,its practically right on top of Mexico.its a border state in which a lot of Mexicans immigrate to.like California, naturally there culture will flow in.i live in the east coast now and we don’t have that problem.
New- MEXICO
They are catering to the massive Mexican population that’s speaking Spanish, I know for a fact that continually playing music,tv,watching movies, in their native language just holds them back from learning English.
Hmm…..I wonder. New Mexico…..right along the border of Mexico…..Arizona…..major population is Mexican….. Really I can’t think of a reason.
